About The Role

PayPal’s Developer Experience Design team is seeking an Interaction Designer to craft exceptional visual and interaction experiences for our developer products. This role focuses on pushing the boundaries of developer experience design while maintaining usability and clarity.

As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for designing the next generation of tools, platforms, and experiences that empower our developer community to create, innovate, and integrate with PayPal’s APIs, products and services with ease.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and Iterate on Design Artifacts: Lead the creation and rapid iteration of low-fidelity design artifacts (user flows, wireframes, etc) to gain alignment on requirements and features.
  • UI Design Excellence: Create beautiful and sophisticated UI designs for developer-facing products, including documentation, dashboards, and tools.
  • Define Interaction Patterns: Define consistent interaction patterns that make complex technical workflows more intuitive, while helping to evolve PayPal’s developer experience design system.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineering, content writers, UX researchers, and Design Technologists to ensure designs are technically feasible, backed by real data and content, and validated through customer contact.
  • Advocate for the voice of developers in product decision-making.
  • Design Leadership: Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of emerging trends in developer tools, frameworks, and best practices.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $69.00/hour-$91.00/hour
